Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Bring your lunch)
Locations:
Friday – Last Frontier Scout Office.
Saturday – The tower at Slippery Falls Scout Ranch Map to SFSR near Tishomingo, OK. Map of SFSR for the tower location
Cost: $25.00 (includes some supplies, tower use and BSA publication “Topping Out”)
Class Size: maximum of 15
Requirements: Registered with BSA, 18 years or older, and have some experience and basic knowledge of rappelling and climbing. 16 years or older can obtain a “Climbing Instructor in Training” card.
Purpose:Learn climbing/rappelling methods and techniques, and BSA requirements and recommendations to provide a safe high adventure program for your unit. Each unit needs a minimum of two trained Climbing Instructors, to conduct a climbing event. Training is valid for 2 years.
Course Registration Deadline: Wednesday preceding the course date. Course may fill prior to this date. Call the LFC Service Center at 405-840-1114 to register.
