Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience
COPE Facilitator Training
November 7 – 8, 2008
Location: Camp Kickapoo, meeting at Eagle Lodge
Cost: $15.00.  Cope manuals sold separately at the scout shop.
Class Size: minimum of 6 to a maximum of 12
Purpose: To enable Boy Scouting and Venturing Leaders to implement a COPE course in their program.  Training will include both low and high element instruction with hands on experience in the fun of Scouting’s famous challenge course.

Climb On Safely / Rappelling-Climbing Training Courses
September 12 – 13, 2008
November 7 – 8, 2008
Class times: Friday 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Bring your lunch)
Location: Camp Kickapoo, meeting at Eagle Lodge
Cost: $20.00 (includes some supplies, tower use and BSA publication “Topping Out”)
Class Size: maximum of 15
Requirements: Registered with BSA, 18 years or older, and have some experience and basic knowledge of rappelling and climbing.
Purpose: Learn climbing and rappelling methods and techniques, BSA requirements and recommendations to provide a safe high adventure climbing program.
Course Registration Deadline: Wednesday preceding the course date.  Course may fill prior to this date

American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid
August 2 – 3, 2008
Class times: Saturday and Sunday 8:30 pm – 4:30 pm (Bring your lunch)
Location: Camp Kickapoo, meeting at Eagle Lodge.  SW 1179th and Countyline Rd
Cost: $15.00 Registered Boy Scouts, Venturers and Leaders
Minimum Age: 14 years old
Class Size: maximum of 20
Purpose: Learn how to prevent accidents in the wilderness, but if something happens, you will learn how to respond to a situation that is more than 1 hour from emergency medical services.|
