The Venturing Leadership Skills Course (VLSC) is the first stage of the Venturing youth leadership development program called Nature of Leadership (see Youth Training). This course is designed to help teach young adults the attitudes and skills that good leaders demonstrate.
Completion of VLSC is a requirement for the Venturing Silver Award and the Advisor Award of Merit.
Venturing Crew 67 will be hosting a VLSC on April 9-10, 2010 at the Choctaw United Methodist Church, 1200 N Choctaw Road Choctaw, OK (Click link for a map). Cost is $7.00 per participant and is open to all Venturers and Boy Scouts age 14 and over. This is an overnight lock-in activity at the church – you will need a sleeping bag, pad and pillow.
Check-in is from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday evening. The course begins at 7:00 PM Friday and runs until approximately 3:00 PM on Saturday. A cracker barrel will be provided on Friday evening and a full breakfast and lunch will be served on Saturday. Click Here for Flyer
